Description
Traffic reflective film (often called retroreflective sheeting) is a specialized material crucial for modern traffic safety. It’s engineered to return light directly back to its source (like car headlights), making signs, vehicles, and objects highly visible at night.
Reflective film is a multi-layered film that reflected light back toward the light source making objects visible at night or in poor lighting. Reflective material is composed of several layers: base layer, reflective layer, sealing layer and adhesive layer. Base layer typically have several materials, among PMMA material offers the best light transmission and superior weather resistance, PC material also has excellent light transmission, but its weather resistance is slightly inferior, PET and PVC material has a relatively short service life but is economical. Reflective layer adopts glass beads technology and micro-prismatic technology. Glass beads technology is mainly applied in the engineering grade and high intensity grade reflective film manufacturing process. Micro-prismatic technology is mainly applied for the super intensity and diamond grade reflective film manufacturing process. Currently, the micro-prismatic technology is also utilized for engineering, high intensity grade reflective film enhancing reflective retroreflection performance with economical price.
